Textured Tough

DESCRIPTION:  Tawi Textured Tough is a premium quality water-based textured coating, specially formulated to provide multi-directional textures. It is a durable coating, easy to apply, resistant to molds and fungi.

COLOUR:           Supplied in White. Can be overcoated to the color of choice

FINISH:               Matt, high-build heavily textured finish.

USES:                 It can be applied to Plaster, Block Work, Cement, Stone, Bag Washed, and Fair Faced Concrete, Timber, Glass, and Aluminum. It is used on interior or exterior applications.

BENEFITS:          It is used to create designer textures and designs, Breathes out trapped moisture, Resists efflorescence, Graffiti resistant, Bridges hair-line cracks, Hides surface imperfections, Dries rapidly, Provides water-proof finish, Provides long term total protection.

APPLICATION DATA

METHOD:         Apply with a stainless-steel trowel, for finishing use a special plastic trowel or comb to create the final design texture e.g. horizontal, vertical, etc. We provide a Supply & Apply service for this product.

COVERAGE: Depending on the thickness required, the rates are: 10 – 11 sq. metres per 30kg @ Film Thickness 1 – 1.5 mm |  8 – 8.5 sq. metres per 30kg @ Film Thickness 1.5 – 2.5 mm

DILUTION:       Supplied ready for use. No thinning allowed.

SURFACE PREPARATION

New work:       Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and clear of all contaminations. Apply 1 coat of Tawi Textured Tough using a stainless steel trowel.

Previously painted surfaces: Clean and prepare the surface. Apply using Stainless trowel. Do not overpaint previously gloss painted surfaces.

Old and loosely bound walls: Wire brush and scrape to remove all possible loose, chalking, and flaking material. Apply by a brush coat of Tawi primer. Allow overnight to dry. Apply Tawi Textured Tough finish using a stainless steel trowel.

DRYING TIME: Surface dry: 2 Hours | Hard dry: 12 Hours | Maximum hardness: 7 Days

RECOATING:    Not recommended

PACKING:          5 kg, 30 kg

STORAGE:          Store in a tightly sealed container in a cool, dry place.

PRECAUTION:    Avoid direct contact with sensitive skin. Use appropriate personal protective equipment
