Product Description: Weatherguard is a super quality emulsion paint that provides a tough and smooth finish. The product offers maximum exterior protection on walls against severe weather conditions. It is specially formulated to resist attack by mould and algae.
Characteristics: Offers excellent surface penetration, easy to apply, forms a flexible and durable coating
Advantages: Walls painted with this product stay clean for longer periods due to their low sheen smooth appearance. Good hiding power, quick drying and easy to apply. No primer required on new and previously painted surfaces. The product allows for “breathing” on new walls.
Finish: Low sheen
Application: By brush, roller, spray equipment.
Thinning: Supplied ready to use. You may thin slightly with water when working on new, porous surfaces. Stir well before use.
Drying times: Apply a second coat after 4 hours.
Spreading capacity: 12 m2/l on previously painted walls and 14 m2/l on new walls. Spreading capacity will be reduced when coating on rough textured surfaces.
Equipment cleaner: Water and household detergent.
Colour range: Various colour charts such as Ambience & BS 4800.
Pack Sizes: 1 litre, 4 litres, 20 litres.

New work: After surface preparation, apply 3 coats Tawi Weatherguard Paint.
Previously painted surfaces – sound condition: Prepare surface. Apply two coats Tawi Weatherguard Paint. One full coat may be sufficient when re-coating a sound surface of the same shade.
Previously painted surfaces – unsound condition: Remove all loose and flaking material down to a firm base. Apply 1 coat Tawi Penetrating Primer. Apply a minimum of 2 coats Tawi Weatherguard.
Old and loosely bound walls; lime washed cement painted distempered: In those cases, where the condition of the walls has reached an advanced stage of deterioration, the application of Tawi Weatherguard, (or any other good quality paint) is not recommended. This also applies when wishing to overcoat whitewash/lime wash or similar forms of cheap decoration and in those cases where the plaster or building fabric is crumbling.
